ABOUT SHANI DEV

Shani is of the 9 planets. According to Hindu mythology Shani (Saturn) is son of Sun & Chaaya . It is believed that Shani & Sun (Surya Devta) are bitter enemies although they are close relatives. Therefore Shani mantra jaap is done when Sun sets .Yamraj (the lord of death), Dharamraj & Yamuna River are brothers & sister of Shani Maharaj. The 4 Ashwin Kumars (Sons of Surya & Usha) are step brothers of Shani Maharaj.

Shani is considered as the lord of Justice. Lord Shiva has assigned Shani Maharaj the duty to do justice with each & every individual. Therefore during Shani ki Sadae Saati ( 7.5 years dasha ) & Shani ki Mahadasha ( 19 years dasha ) each individual is rewarded or punished according to his past actions by Shani Maharaj .In every individual’s life there is at least one Shani ki Sadae Saati & one Shani ki Mahadasha . During these dashas the individual must sincerely worship Shani Maharaj at any cost. Even regular worship of Shani Maharaj helps the person to remain healthy & wealthy.

One can please Shani Maharaj by following ways.

1)CHANTING MANTRA : “ Om Shum Shanishchraay Namah :for at least 108 timeswith Sandal wood beads mala but remember not to chant the mantra with Tulsi beads mala . The mantra should be chanted after Sun set. The person should take a bath & should wear black clothes. Also offer Gur ( jaggery ) & Kali Urad dalkhichadi (Black Gram) to Shani Maharaj. After the pooja distribute the Prasad among the family members.


2)CHARITY: Donate black color cloth to the poor. On every Saturday offer Mustard oil & money in the Shani Mandir. Donate Iron metal goods to the poor on Saturday.


3)GEM STONE: Neelam (Blue Sapphire) should be worn on the gemologist & astrologer’s advice only

It is also very important to chant Shani's wives mantra which is as follows at least for 108 times on every Saturday after Sun set .

PAY PAL

As we know, PayPal is the world's largest internet bank. Most of us who surf the net and have online earnings have a PayPal account. However, in this article I would like to share some uncommon facts about PayPal.

As we know AlertPay is a Internet bank like PayPal. However, AlertPay is not as advanced as PayPal with respect to withdrawing of funds by the account holder.

In AlertPay, only members of few countries can directly withdraw their funds into their bank account via electronic money transfer. While other members can withdraw funds via check only and a minimum cashout should be $20.

AlertPay does not send cheque in the currency of the account holder.Therefore, an Indian AlertPay account holder will get a check in U.S. dollars and not in Indian Rupees.

DEGREE CELSIUS TO DEGREE FAHRENHEIT

In order to convert degree FAHRENHEIT into degree Celsius & vice versa the following formula are used.

1) FORMULA FOR CONVERTING DEGREE FAHRENHEIT TO DEGREE CELSIUS:

( x degree Fahrenheit - 32 ) X 5 / 9


EXAMPLE 50 degree Fahrenheit = ( 50 -32 ) X 5 / 9
= 18 X 5/ 9
= 18 X 0.55
= 9.9 or 10 degree Celsius

2) FORMULA FOR CONVERTING DEGREE CELSIUS TO DEGREE FAHRENHEIT :

( x degree Celsius X 9 / 5 ) + 32

EXAMPLE 50 degree Celsius = ( 50 X 9 / 5 ) + 32
= ( 50 X 1.8 ) + 32
= 90 + 32
= 122 degree Fahrenheit

KAAL BHAIRAV - HINDU GOD WHO DRINKS LIQUOR

Bhairava in Sanskrut means TERRIBLE .He is one of the most important deities of Nepal, sacred to Hindus . Bhairava is invoked in prayers to destroy enemies.Bhairava has a dog as his divine vehicle .

HERE ARE TWO MYTHOLOGICAL STORIES ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF KAAL BHAIRAV .

1) The origin of Bhairava can be traced to the conversation between Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu recounted in "Shiv Maha-Purana" where Lord Vishnu asks Lord Brahma who is the supreme creator of the Universe. Arrogantly, Brahma tells Vishnu to worship him because he (Brahma) is the supreme creator. This angered Shiva who in reality is the creator of all. Shiva then incarnated in the form of Bhairava to punish Brahma. Bhairava beheaded one of Brahma's five heads and since then Brahma has only four heads. When depicted as Kala Bhairava, Bhairava is shown carrying the amputated head of Brahma .



2) Another story of the origin of Bhairava is the tale of Sati , wife of Shiva. Sati, the daughter of the king of gods, Daksha had chosen to marry Shiva. Her father disapproved the alliance because he perceived Shiva as an asetic associated with animals and ghosts and a frugal lifestyle. Eventually, Daksha held a yagna (a ritualistic sacrifice) and invited all the Gods , but not Sati and Shiva. Sati came to the yagna alone, where Daksha publicly spoke in a belittling manner about Shiva. Sati could not bear to hear her husband insulted and offered herself to the sacrificial pyre.

When Shiva learned of this, he destroyed the yagna and killed Daksha by beheading him. Shiva carried Sati's corpse on his shoulders and ran uncontrollably all around the world for days. Since this would eventually destroy all creation, Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra (divine discus) to cut Sati's body into pieces, which then fell all around. These spots where Sati's body parts fell are now known as SHAKTI PEETHS . In the form of the frightful Bhairava, Shiva is said to be guarding each of these Shaktipeeths. Each Shaktipeeth temple is accompanied by a temple dedicated to Bhairava.

It is interesting to note that covering body with mud or lying in mud on beaches is not an act of getting dirty but it is an important way to improve mood & feel relaxed. Bacteria found in the soil activates a group of neurons that produce the brain chemical SEROTONIN which affects mood of a person.

A treatment was done on a mice with a friendly bacteria normally found in the soil this altered the behavior of mice in a way similar to that produced by antidepressant drugs according to a research report published in the latest issue of Neuroscience.

The scientist treated the brains of mice with Mycobacterium vaccae and found that this bacteria activated a group of neurons that produce the brain chemical serotonin. Lack of Serotonin causes depression in people. Therefore alteration in the behavior of mice was due to release of Serotonin in parts of the brain by the bacteria Mycobacterium vaccae.

Without any further confusion let me reveal to you what is ' Nazi Hunter Room '.It is the Adolf Hitler's skin trophy which is made by Israeli artist Boaz Arad.This art work was represented in Art Cologne which was major modern art fair in Germany.The fair was held in April 2007.The price of the Nazi Hunter Room was 47,000 dollars.

You might think the Nazi Hunter Room is so expensive but in the Art Cologne fair the most expensive art work was of Pablo Pisaco's painting ' Man with Pipe ' which was priced 3.8 million Euros. He made the painting in 1969.
